Fall Haiku Series
I am not a poet, but I do write poems for class, when I have to.
Leaves come drifting down
Orange, yellow, and red carpet
Crunch beneath my feet
Pumpkin on the porch
See his golden gleaming grin!
Pie is imminent
Sing campfire songs
Huddle closer in the tent
Against the brisk wind
Scent of burning wood
Brings memories of hot dogs
Washed down with cider
Halloween is near
Time for costumes and candy,
Spooky old houses
School is in session
Yellow buses on the streets
Delay my commute
Slight chill in the air
As the sun sets quickly now
The winter awaits
